Train noise was loud but manageable.

The hotel is conveniently located and short walk to a hill that made walking into town to restaurants more exhausting, parks, the lake and shopping, and a highway and train tracks. Kootenay Lake is 100 fr from the venue.

The room was clean and nicely matched my needs as a solo traveler, although the building itself shows its age with some peeling wallpaper.

Simple hotel in Nelson. The rooms are large and in good condition. The location is very close to the centre. Twice a day a train passes the hotel and announces itself loudly :-) For railway lovers a dream.

It is right beside train tracks. Trains run during once or twice the middle of the night. It is so close it is as if the train is actually in your room! No restaurent. Small rooms and even smaller bathrooms.

We enjoyed visiting Lakeside Park and playing at Granite Pointe Golf Club, both just a short distance away. This place is a 10-minute walk to a variety of fun activities and has a cozy atmosphere.
We did face some minor issues like a lack of coffee packets in the room during our two-night stay. It seemed a bit inconvenient having to go to the front desk for that.

I was put into a dirty room. When I was asked for another room they put me in a smaller room. When I asked for a restaurant recommendation I was told everyplace was good.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. I liked that I could go over to the Prestige Lake Resort and have breakfast with a coupon and use their pool and hot tub. The hotel was centrally located and easy to walk to town or just down to the mall to get whatever I needed.
Difficulty getting on the internet and a broken screen and safety door latch in my room otherwise i enjoyed my stay.

The room at Prestige was clean and spacious. The staff was attentive and quickly assisted me with inquiries regarding the local area. The convenient location allowed for a short walk to various dining options and business centers, which enhanced my trip significantly.
The parking situation was somewhat tight.

Comfort of the bed
Railway right beside room - train blairing horn several times during the night. Never got back to sleep after 3 am. Made next day very difficult.

Within walking distance of everywhere we needed to go
Would have been nice if the fridge had a freezer for keeping ice cream....though not heartbroken that I had to eat it all at once :)
